Invocation of Baosheng Dadi

Baosheng Dadi was literally translated as Guardian of Health. It's said that Baosheng Dadi was invited by Wang Yeh to escort the procession. For this reason his palanquin would precede Wang Yeh during the course of parade. The statue of Baosheng Dadi was enshrined in Ching Long temple of Jiali. So on the day before setting out southbound parade to Tainan, all palanquins and troupes have to come to Ching Long temple to salute Baosheng Dadi, then invite him to join the events in coming few weeks.
