Rice cake

Rice cake is one of the most common traditional breakfasts in Tainan. It's was served in bowl, with sliced egg、mushroom and pork as toppings. This stall has been selling rice cake for more than 90 years. It's been passed through 3 generations from their grandpa to grandkids. Apart from rice cake, their chowder (thick soup with meat) and broth (soup with pigs' knuckles and peanuts) are also appreciated by residents in Xigang. They open from 06:00 to 10:00 in the morning, only for breakfast hours.
